Cleaning Tips with high Cleaning Impact

Cleaning Tips: One of the least known methods of green cleaning is to use steam cleaners in the place of disinfectants and store bought cleaning concoctions. The only cleaning solution these machines need is 100% water. After you fill the tank, allow the water to heat for the required time until steam is created. Then, use the machine as directed according to the manufacturer.

These machines usually come with a host of attachments, which allow you to apply steam on various types of surfaces. You can clean your kitchen, bathroom fixtures, toilets and just about anything else you can put your hands on. The only caution is not to use it on items that are sensitive to heat and steam.

If you are worried about cleaning with a power tool, fear not! The high temperatures of the steam cause bacteria and micro organisms to die almost immediately upon exposure. This allows you to clean and practically disinfect your home. There is even a steam cleaning mop available, which allows you to steam clean all types of floors (tiles, marble and hardwood).
Another environmentally cleaning tip is to use two simple everyday ingredients: vinegar and baking soda. We would go so far as to call these miracle products, you can use them for so many different applications. These include:

* Cleaning out your drains and pipes.
* Scrubbing out stains in your bath tub
* Cleaning any surface
* Great for removing dried oven/ microwave spills
* Gets rid of unpleasant odours
* Vinegar is an excellent disinfectant; a 5% solution can kill 99% of bacteria.

The above are just a few of their uses, as these are truly versatile cleaning substances. If you pay a little more attention and do a bit of research, you can make a huge difference. Not only by changing the way you clean, but also teaching your children, family and neighbours which leads to the inevitable ripple effect.

Environmentally Cleaning Tips: Why We Need To Make a Change

Cleaning is a tedious chore- no one likes to do it nor does anyone want to. Similarly, the human race doesn’t want to clean up their planet-wide mess of pollution and environmental destruction.

However, what happens if we do not clean our homes? Dirt and grime collects bringing along rodents and other pests that pose a threat to your family’s health. Similarly, if we do not clean our planet and reduce our negative impact. It will deteriorate and eventually become inhospitable for every living creature.

One of the ways in which we hurt the environment, comes from an unlikely daily chore: cleaning. As mentioned previously, if we do not clean, the effects are dismal. However, are you “cleaning” in a manner that is best for all? The average home cleans using chemical based detergents, disinfectants, soap etc. Do you know the effects of this?

When you mop or clean your yard, the cleaning solution is washed down your drain which is eventually fed into streams, rivers and eventually back into the ocean. The chemicals within the cleaners cause an over growth of algae which smothers other plants. These plants are usually the food sources of fishes which severely decrease their food availability. Additionally, many of these chemicals are poisonous which causes many fishes and micro organisms to die.
Let’s do our party by preserving our environment and using chemicals that are eco-friendly only! This will help us ensure that our environment is safe for many years to come.
